Pablo Picasso's still life with the guitar, created in 1921, disappeared while being transported from Madrid to Granada. Euronews reported this.
According to the information, this work, painted in the guash style, was created in the CajaGranada fund. La eternidad de lo inerte." However, this small work, measuring 12.7x9 centimeters, did not reach its destination.
The painting was delivered by a company specializing in the transportation of works of art from the Pio XII residence in Madrid. The work was placed in a warehouse along with other paintings on September 25 and then headed to Granada.
The exhibition opened on October 2, and the works were delivered to the cultural center on October 3 at 10:00. That night, the paintings were in the city of Deifontes. Investigators suspect that Picasso's work may have been stolen in this area.
On October 10, after the CajaGranada Foundation filed an official complaint with the police, the Historical Heritage Brigade of the National Police launched an investigation.
The location of the photo is currently unknown, and no one has been apprehended. The investigation is ongoing.
