Nargiza Abdullayeva: "Thank God I'm Free"

Actress Nargiza Abdullayeva appeared as a guest on Navo TV’s program “13-studio” and, with her open and sincere conversation, made many people reflect. During the program, TV host Nasriddin Nasriddinov asked her a question about her first marriage:

“I know that you do not very much like to remember your first marriage. That family was not built on love. They even say that the guy sent matchmakers after arguing with his friends. If you remember those days today, what feelings come to your mind?”

Nargiza Abdullayeva responded to this question very openly:

“I want to tell girls: you should not immediately agree just because matchmakers came. You must listen to your parents. If they say, ‘this guy is not right’, then you really should not hurry.”

According to the actress, she got married at the age of 17 or 18:

“At that time, I was young. I myself didn’t want it either, but the matchmakers kept coming and did not leave us alone, so I agreed. Later I even saw it in my dreams. When I saw it in my dream, I would get scared, wake up sweating — thinking: is it that family again? Mental exhaustion, it turns out, is a very bad thing.”

She emphasized that she could not tell anyone about the difficulties she faced at a young age:

“It turns out that people’s masks are very different. You can’t truly know anyone. And for us artists, it is even easier for people to blame us. ‘She is an actress’, and they blame everything on us. But in reality, we are also ordinary people who need respect.”

These sincere reflections of the actress made many viewers think and became an important life lesson for young girls.
