“If you think I will apologize, you are seriously mistaken.” Yulduz Usmanova responds to Jewish community in the USA

People's Artist of Uzbekistan Yulduz Usmanova has responded to the controversy surrounding her planned concert in the USA. In a video message on her Instagram page, the singer firmly stated that she would not offer any apologies.

It is known that Yulduz Usmanova planned to hold a concert in the Brighton Beach area on May 9, 2026. However, in recent days, there have been calls from representatives of the Jewish community in the USA on social media to cancel the concert. The reason cited is the singer's views on the Israel-Palestine conflict expressed several years ago. Specifically, in 2021, she released several video messages supporting the Palestinian people and responding to certain criticisms.

It is noted that some American politicians in New York are also active in this matter. In particular, Bruce Blakeman, Michael Novakhov, and Alec Brook-Krasny are reportedly supporting this campaign. The initiators are demanding that the singer explain her public statements and apologize.

In response to these calls, the singer clearly stated her position:

“If you think I will apologize, you are seriously mistaken. If the Jews are gathering against the city hall and interfering in political processes, this is also, in a sense, beneficial for us. Even if they are against it, it brings me prestige,” she emphasized.

Yulduz Usmanova also noted that she remains firm in her views and is against any form of violence:

“I stand by my opinion. I do not support violence. At the same time, Palestine must be free — it is their land. You may be an ancient nation, but you are a new state — Israel. America is not Israel. Therefore, do not consider yourselves superior,” the singer said.

She also put forward some sharp opinions, emphasizing that the Jewish community is revealing its true character through these actions. The singer stated that she approaches her nation and religion with respect and aims to serve people through art.

“We are an ancient people who value ourselves and, Alhamdulillah, we are Muslims. We respect our religion and our homeland. No matter how much you oppose me, it only brings me more popularity. If not today, we will definitely meet at concerts tomorrow. Tickets always sell out. Because I sing for humanity with the talent given to me. Justice, InshaAllah, will prevail,” she concluded.
