An-2 aircraft forced to make emergency landing in Yakutia due to engine failure

An An-2 aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing in Yakutia due to an engine malfunction. This was reported by the Eastern Interregional Investigation Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
According to reports, the aircraft was conducting a patrol flight in an area with a high risk of fire. During the flight, the pilot decided to return to the airfield after experiencing engine problems.
However, contact with the aircraft was lost shortly after. Later, the crew reported their coordinates after the emergency landing. The passengers headed toward a nearby village.
It was reported that a fire broke out on the aircraft after landing. The extent of the damage is currently being assessed. A criminal case has been initiated, and an investigation is underway.
