Uzbekistan’s official dollar rate rises sharply
The official exchange rate of the US dollar has risen sharply in Uzbekistan, nova24.uz reported. The Central Bank published updated currency rates for April 7.

According to the data, the dollar increased by 26.76 UZS, reaching 12,947.20 UZS. The euro decreased by 30.04 UZS to 14,422.50 UZS, while the Russian ruble dropped by 0.14 UZS, now at 153.38 UZS.

Dollar selling rates at banks:
Ipoteka bank: 12,985 UZS;
MKBank: 12,985 UZS;
KDB Bank Uzbekistan: 12,985 UZS;
Kapitalbank: 13,000 UZS.

Additionally, the rates of the Chinese yuan and Japanese yen have also increased. Experts attribute the fluctuations to external market conditions and rising demand for foreign currencies.
