Uzbekistan’s reserves exceed $49.2 billion
Uzbekistan’s reserves grew by 2.9% in one month, Kursiv.media reported.

According to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, the country’s total reserves surpassed $49.2 billion at the beginning of May — nearly $1.4 billion more than the previous month.

. More than $37.6 billion of the reserves are in precious metals.
. However, the physical volume of gold decreased from 11.8 million to 11.5 million troy ounces.
. The foreign currency portion of reserves rose by $616.9 million, exceeding $11 billion.

According to the World Gold Council (WGC), in March this year, Uzbekistan’s central bank sold 11 tons of gold, making it the top seller worldwide.
