A new logistics cooperation has begun between Iran and Uzbekistan

A new logistics cooperation has begun between Iran and Uzbekistan
On June 6 of this year, an important document aimed at developing cooperation in the field of transit and logistics was signed between Iran and Uzbekistan in the Iranian capital Tehran - a memorandum of understanding.

This agreement was signed within the framework of the 13th meeting of transport ministers of the member states of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO). The event was held in Tehran with the participation of high-level officials.

The memorandum was signed by Iran's Minister of Transport and Urban Development Farzana Sadiq, Uzbekistan's Minister of Transport Ilham Mahkamov, and Saeed Rasuli, head of the Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization.

According to the agreement, the Iranian side will create favorable conditions for the Uzbek private sector to build a separate terminal and logistics center at the strategically important Shahid Rajaee port in the country, as well as to invest.

This document will serve as an important foundation for further strengthening economic ties between the two countries, increasing the efficiency of cargo transportation, and activating new transport routes and trade chains.

In particular, this memorandum can create more convenient transit opportunities for Uzbek goods to international markets and ensure rapid access to seaports via the Southern route.

According to experts, this cooperation will have a positive impact not only on the interests of the two countries, but also on the development of the entire regional logistics system.
