Uzbekistan's gold exports reached a historic record

In the first seven months of this year, Uzbekistan exported gold worth 7.58 billion dollars. This is 80.9% more compared to the same period last year. Thus, by mid-2025, the 2024 figure (7.48 billion $) was surpassed.

According to export dynamics: in February, 1.73 billion $, in March, 1.84 billion $, and in April, 1.91 billion $ worth of gold was sold. In May, exports amounted to 1.01 billion $. In June, sales stopped, and instead, 9 tons of gold were purchased. In July, exports were 1.09 billion $.

In total, 18 tons of gold were exported since the beginning of the year. As of August 1, the country's reserves amounted to 48.74 billion $. Of these, gold reserves were 38.68 billion $, and currency reserves were 8.48 billion $.
