In Uzbekistan, in January-August 2025, large enterprises produced finished clothing products worth 24.4 trillion soums. This is almost a 17 percent increase compared to the same period last year. In other words, productivity in the textile-confection chain and market volumes are steadily increasing.

- Namangan region - 2.7 trillion soums (~11%).
- Tashkent region - 2.6 trillion soums (~11%).
- Tashkent city - 1.8 trillion soums (~7.4%)
- Fergana region - 1.6 trillion soums (~6.6%).
- Navoi region - 1.4 trillion soums (~5.7%)
- Kashkadarya region - 1.1 trillion soums (~4.5%).
- Bukhara region - 1.0 trillion soums (~4.1%)
- Samarkand region - 863.7 billion soums (~3.5%).
- Surkhandarya region - 437.0 billion soums (~1.8%).
- Jizzakh region - 419.1 billion soums (~1.7%)
- Karakalpakstan - 333.4 billion soums (~1.4%)
- Syrdarya region - 291.5 billion soums (~1.2%)
- Khorezm region - 288.9 billion soums (~1.2%)
As can be seen, Andijan is the absolute leader in production: almost every third piece of clothing belongs to this region. Namangan and Tashkent regions are catching up with a small gap, while the capital is in the top 4 in terms of high value-added segments.
What prompted you?
The main factors supporting growth are the preservation of demand for textile and garment and knitwear products in the domestic market, modernization and optimization of volumes at large enterprises, and consistency in logistics. At the same time, it is clear that industrial zones and personnel training in the regions also contributed to the results.
Conclusion
According to the results of eight months of the year, the clothing industry has moved forward: a portfolio of 24.4 trillion soums and a 16.9% growth rate - a clear positive signal for the industry. Now the main task is to increase not only the volume, but also the quality, design, and export competitiveness, as well as to widely disseminate the experience of leading regions.
