Surkhandarya cotton farmers were the first to fulfill the 2025 plan

The cotton farmers of Surkhandarya region once again demonstrated their hard work and dedication, becoming an example for the entire country. Farmers of the region successfully became the first in Uzbekistan to fulfill the 2025 contractual cotton delivery plan, reported UzA.

According to the data, over 275,600 tons of high-quality raw material were delivered to the collection centers. To ensure timely and loss-free harvesting, a total of 1,277 picking brigades were organized. Additionally, 2,010 tractors and 2,965 trailers were mobilized to transport the harvested cotton to collection points.

As noted in the report, despite unfavorable weather and water shortages this year, Surkhandarya farmers achieved a rich harvest thanks to their experience and diligence. They managed each field wisely, achieving maximum productivity from the land.

In September 2025, modern FM-World cotton-picking machines manufactured in China were imported to speed up and improve the quality of harvesting. This equipment played an important role in automating the process and saving time.

For reference: Surkhandarya region also became the first in Uzbekistan to fulfill the cotton delivery plan in 2023 and 2024.

Today, the region’s cotton growers once again proudly lead the nation. Through hard work and perseverance, Surkhandarya farmers continue to strengthen their region’s position as a leader in Uzbekistan’s agricultural development.
