According to researchers, the amount of water that affects the body’s hormonal response plays a very important role in maintaining health. This was reported by Peopletalk.

Data shows that providing the body with enough water controls cortisol levels and reduces the risk of developing many serious diseases. In an experiment conducted by specialists at Liverpool John Moores University, it was found that adults who consume less liquid show a stronger hormonal response to stress, in the form of cortisol release, compared to those who drink more water. This occurred even when other indicators such as heart rate and anxiety remained unchanged.

Researchers emphasized:

“Drinking water regularly and sufficiently helps your body cope with stress more effectively. If you have a busy schedule, important preparation, or a speech to deliver, keeping a bottle of water at hand can be a useful habit. This will provide long-term benefits for your health.”

Experts also reminded about the recommended daily intake:

  • for men — about 3.7 liters (15.5 cups),
  • for women — 2.7 liters (11.5 cups).

Of course, these figures are influenced by factors such as age, climate, physical activity, and health conditions, but they serve as a guideline.
