In the latest study, scientists analyzed the brain activity of 1,472 participants and came to an interesting conclusion. It turns out that creative activity - especially playing video games - slows down the biological age of the brain.
According to the research results, gamers' brains work on average 5-7 years younger than their actual age. It's worth noting that this isn't exclusive to professional players. Ordinary people who participated in the experiment also significantly improved their attention and quick thinking abilities by playing StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty for 30 hours.
Experts emphasize that such creative activities - engaging in dance, music, or visual arts alongside video games - play a significant role in maintaining active brain function, slowing down the aging process, and strengthening memory.
That is, to maintain a healthy mind, it's enough not only to read books or exercise, but also to engage in creative activities you enjoy.
