Changes in Women During the Second Week of Pregnancy

During the second week of pregnancy, women may not experience any significant symptoms, as the embryo has not yet formed at this stage. In other words, this is merely the preparation phase for pregnancy. Typically, this period coincides with the beginning of ovulation, and pregnancy can only occur under favorable conditions.

In the second week of pregnancy, the egg cell begins its journey. The egg cell is located in a follicle within the ovary, and fluid accumulates as the follicle develops. This structure is called a "follicle," and later the egg cell exits the follicle and enters the abdominal cavity—a process known as ovulation.

If the woman engages in sexual intercourse, sperm cells become ready to fertilize the egg. To increase the chances of successful fertilization, gynecologists recommend certain positions, such as the missionary position or the knee-elbow position.

It is natural for a woman to feel no symptoms during the second week, as this is just the ovulation process. The clear signs of the start of pregnancy will only be evident after a few more weeks.
