A powerful fire broke out at the Beshkurgan market in Tashkent

Today, April 5, a large and severe fire broke out in the Beshkurgan market, popularly known as the Hippodrome, in Tashkent. Several videos of the fire rising into the sky from the flames have been circulating on social networks. The footage shows people rushing to quickly evacuate their goods and vehicles.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the fire was reported at 15:56. According to its location, it occurred in the Beshkurgan market on the Tashkent Ring Road in the Chilonzor district.
Rescuers immediately arrived at the scene and began extinguishing the fire. There were no reports of injuries as a result of the fire, and the Tashkent city Fire and Rescue Department is fully controlling the situation.
The Minister of Emergency Situations, Major General Azizbek Ikramov, also arrived at the scene of the fire. The containment and fire extinguishing work was completed at 16:53.
According to complete information, the fire was completely extinguished at 18:18, and the cause of its occurrence and the amount of material damage are currently being determined.
Thanks to prompt action at the scene and effective rescue work, losses were minimized. This incident once again demonstrated the importance of public safety and emergency preparedness.
