Original Nowruz greetings from European Union diplomats

Ambassadors of the European Union (EU) countries in Uzbekistan have sent a unique Navruz greeting to the people of Uzbekistan.

The greeting was recorded in a video featuring the ambassadors of the Czech Republic, Germany, France, Italy, Latvia, Hungary, Romania, and Slovakia, as well as the chargé d'affaires of Bulgaria and Spain. They celebrated the Eastern New Year by reciting a poem in Uzbek.

The EU Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Toivo Klaar, not only joined the recitation but also played the traditional kobyz instrument, promoting its cultural significance.

The diplomats’ recited poem included the following lines:

From the warmth of the earth, a bud blooms,
Flowers sing and spread their fragrance,
Leaves clap as the wind carries the pollen,
Happy Navruz to you all!
