Three people died and 10 were injured in a gas explosion in a mosque ablution facility in the Izboskan district of Andijan region. This was reported in an additional statement by the press service of the Andijan region's Fire and Rescue Service.
"Today, March 31, at 12:19, the Andijan region's Fire and Rescue Service was informed about a flash of a gas-air mixture in ablution facilities on the territory of a mosque located on Yangibazar Street of the Mirzo Ulug'bek MFY, Izboskan district, Andijan region.
2 rescue teams and 2 fire and rescue crews immediately arrived at the specified address. As a result of the incident, the walls and roof structures of the ablution facility were damaged, but there was no fire.
As a result of the explosion, 3 citizens, M.Abdullayev, J.Anvarov and B.Burkhonov, died, 10 citizens, G.Toylokov, A.Abdirayimjonov, H.Zuhriddinov, I.Rahimov, M.Mamaturaimov, I.Shomurodov, K.Qosimov, U.Boltaboyev, M.Abdurahmonov and M.Boltaboyev, were injured and sent to the hospital,” the report says.
The regional khokim, FVB, IIB, MG, SSB, prosecutor's office, and "Hududgaztaminot" and district FVDqT services have arrived at the scene and the consequences of the incident are being eliminated.
Deputy Prime Minister O. Ramatov and Minister of Emergency Situations Major General B. Kudratkhodjayev, who were in the valley when the incident was reported, arrived in the Izboskan district.
A preliminary investigation into the incident is currently underway.
Initial reports said that 6 people were injured, but later it was reported that this number had increased to 9.
