In Tashkent's Yunusabad district, a territory left abandoned and derelict for years is being transformed into a modern public ecological park, according to Uzbekistan's Ministry of Ecology.
It was noted that until 2020, this area remained completely neglected, with no landscaping or improvement work carried out. Currently, more than 1,200 different types of trees and over 23,000 bushes have been planted on a 7.5-hectare site, creating a modern ecological park.
Experts emphasize that this park will be the first public green space in the capital, creating an ecosystem away from urban noise and fully compliant with environmental standards. The park area will feature a beautiful rose garden, a natural lake, and nests constructed for various bird species.
All paths will be paved with natural stones, and benches will be crafted from dry trees, meaning every facility in the park will be made entirely from natural materials. Additionally, plants that bloom sequentially throughout the year will be planted, ensuring the park maintains its unique beauty across all seasons.
Entry to the park will be completely free. To maintain ecological cleanliness within the park's boundaries, littering is strictly prohibited. Waste bins will only be placed at the entrances and exits of the park.
Environmentalists note that the park is being developed based on advanced European and Japanese practices. Only tree species adapted to the local climate will be planted.
The exact date for opening this public park has not yet been announced. However, this project is already drawing considerable interest among residents and visitors of Tashkent. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
