The Children's Ombudsman provided information on a video circulating on social networks about a child under 1 year old being abandoned by his mother on the street.

It is noted that the case is under special control and is being investigated by the internal affairs and prosecutor's offices.

According to preliminary information, a 21-year-old woman abandoned her 7-month-old child on a street in the Akdarya district of the Samarkand region and went into hiding.

The district police department is currently conducting pre-investigation investigations into the case.

The child was placed in an orphanage for infants in the district and is being provided with the necessary care.
