Youth conflict in Almazar: an attack carried out with a sharp weapon!

The Tashkent City Internal Affairs Main Department issued an official statement regarding a video clip that rapidly spread on social media and caused extensive discussions. The video depicted a young man who had sustained bodily injuries.

It became known that this unfortunate incident occurred on May 22 of this year at approximately 20:00 in the territory of the "Chustiy" neighborhood of the capital’s Almazar district. A conflict arose between A.S., born in 2003, and his acquaintance S.U., born in 2006, due to previous disagreements.

At the peak of the conflict, 21-year-old A.S., unable to control himself, attacked 18-year-old S.U. with a sharp object he was carrying (presumably a knife or similar cold weapon). As a result, the victim sustained a serious bodily injury in the rear left side of his chest.

According to medical professionals, the victim was diagnosed with a stab-and-cut wound in the rear area of the chest. He was urgently taken to the hospital by ambulance. Currently, necessary medical procedures are being carried out to restore his health, and his condition is assessed as moderate.

A criminal case was promptly initiated regarding this incident by the Investigation Department at the Coordination Directorate of Internal Affairs of Almazar district. At present, the incident has been classified under clause "m" of part 2, article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan ("Intentional infliction of moderate bodily harm with the use of weapons or objects that can be used as cold weapons"), and investigative actions are ongoing.

Currently, law enforcement agencies are thoroughly investigating the reasons for the emergence of this conflict and all circumstances of the incident. To prevent similar conflicts among youth, law enforcement officers are conducting preventive talks with parents and educational institutions, and intensifying explanatory work among the population.

This incident attracted wide public attention and sparked serious discussions on social media regarding youth conflicts and their consequences. Specialists emphasize the need to strengthen educational and upbringing work in families, educational institutions, and neighborhoods to prevent such negative outcomes.

Law enforcement agencies call on the population to remain vigilant and resolve any conflicts peacefully rather than through violence. The importance of cooperation between family, school, and neighborhood in preventing conflicts among adolescents and youth is particularly highlighted.

Currently, the investigation is ongoing, and the responsibility of other persons involved in the incident is also being examined. Upon completion of the investigation, appropriate measures will be taken within the framework of the law.
