Fire at gas filling station in Bukhara: How did the incident occur?

An unpleasant incident occurred at a propane gas filling station located in the Alat district of Bukhara region. The incident happened yesterday, May 23, at approximately 21:15, at the station belonging to LLC "Siroj servis," located on the territory of "Jaykhunobod" mahalla citizens' gathering.

According to the regional Emergency Situations Department, the incident occurred while refueling a Kamaz truck with gas. As a result, a fire broke out. Immediately after receiving a report of the incident, firefighting units of the regional Emergency Situations Department quickly arrived at the scene. Two firefighting crews reached the site at 21:19 and promptly began extinguishing the fire. The fire was completely extinguished at 21:40.

It was noted that eyewitnesses of the incident also attempted to assist the emergency personnel in extinguishing the fire. During this process, several citizens sustained minor injuries. They were provided immediate medical assistance and are currently under doctors' supervision. According to medical professionals, the condition of the injured individuals is improving and they are out of danger.

According to the official statement of the department, no large-scale explosion occurred as a result of the fire, and there was no threat to nearby residential areas. However, as a result of the fire, the gas-filling equipment on the side of the Kamaz truck and the liquefied hydrocarbon gas were partially damaged.

According to initial assumptions, the incident might have been caused by an error in the technological process or non-compliance with technical regulations. Currently, specialists are conducting investigations to determine the exact reasons for the incident.

According to eyewitnesses, a brief panic arose among local residents at the time of the incident, but due to the prompt actions of firefighting units, panic among the population was prevented. The Emergency Situations Department once again urges the population to strictly adhere to technological norms and fire safety regulations.

At the moment, the operation of this gas filling station has been temporarily suspended by the local administration and Emergency Situations Department, and inspections are being conducted to ensure compliance with technical safety and fire safety requirements. Additionally, preventive measures have been intensified at other gas filling stations.

Experts emphasize the necessity of improving the qualifications of fuel station workers and continuously monitoring the technical condition of equipment to prevent such incidents, as these situations can cause not only material damage but also pose a serious threat to human life.
