Governor of Bukhara region: "You will bury it with the person inside!" (video)

The governor of Bukhara region, Botir Zaripov, sparked a major stir on social media with a harsh statement captured on video. In this clip, the governor demands the immediate demolition of illegal structures located in the area of a kindergarten, stating that they should be torn down even without a court order, regardless of whether there are people inside.

The governor specifically emphasized that “all documents must be checked today, Illegal buildings—without any ‘court-proceeding’ should be dismantled quickly. ‘Bury it even if someone is inside,’” and these harsh words caused widespread public objection.

Furthermore, Botir Zaripov addressed the district police chief, indicating that if irresponsibility in maintaining public order is recorded, he may be reassigned “to a quieter district.” This once again demonstrates the firm discipline and order the governor demands of both the public and officials.

He also mentioned the use of disciplinary measures against the deputy mayor in charge of social affairs, noting that it must serve as a lesson for all leaders.

It should be noted that currently it is not known where or in which kindergarten’s territory the video was shot. So far, the Bukhara city administration has not provided an official statement. However, the public's reaction to the governor’s strict and uncompromising stance highlights the relevance of issues concerning officials' discipline and legality.
