Buses will be adapted for people with disabilities, and the costs will be reimbursed

On June 18, 2025, according to Government Resolution No. 377, the administrative regulation “Provision of state services for reimbursing the costs of adapting vehicles to the needs of persons with disabilities” was approved. This reform is considered one of the major developments in the transportation sector. According to the regulation, 50% of the necessary adaptation costs for vehicles used by persons with disabilities, up to a limit of 30 times the Basic Estimated Amount (BEA), will be fully reimbursed by the state.

By October 1, 2024: Entrepreneurs who win tenders for city, suburban, and intercity transport routes will be reimbursed for adaptation costs of each bus upon submission of supporting documents to the government.

From November 1, 2024: Persons with a Group I disability can benefit from this support for one vehicle registered in their name and in personal use.

For buses:

foldable ramp (1 unit);

audio-visual information monitor (1 unit);

information speakers (up to 3 units);

information transmission microphone (1 unit);

call button;

stop information board (1 unit).

For personal vehicles:

conversion of gas and brake pedals to hand control;
