On June 30, a fire near the “Pistamazor” mosque in the city of Andijan caused serious concern among residents and drivers. Around 4:00 PM, a MAN brand cargo truck traveling along Boburshoh Street suddenly caught fire for unknown reasons.

According to the press service of the Andijan regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the first report of the incident was received at 4:00 PM, and a rescue team of three was immediately dispatched to the scene.

The specialists arrived at the location at 4:07 PM and were able to identify the source of the fire within two minutes, quickly beginning firefighting operations. By 4:22 PM — just 13 minutes later — the fire was fully extinguished.

Fortunately, no fatalities or injuries occurred in this incident. No one was harmed, and no damage was done to nearby buildings or people. However, it was reported that some parts of the truck, especially the engine and cabin, were seriously damaged.

Currently, experts from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and regional specialists are investigating the exact cause of the fire. It is presumed that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit in the electrical equipment or issues related to insufficient technical maintenance.

Local residents and witnesses noted that the fire spread rapidly, forcing people nearby to retreat to a safe distance. It was also reported that traffic congestion occurred due to temporary road blockage.

According to the Emergency Situations Service, there has been a slight increase in vehicle fires in recent months. Drivers are urged to regularly check the technical condition of their vehicles, monitor the fuel supply system, and always keep fire extinguishing tools in ready condition.

Such incidents can pose a serious threat to urban infrastructure and public safety. Therefore, specialists emphasize the need to ensure that each vehicle complies with service life and safety standards, in cooperation with responsible agencies.

Fires occurring on roads are dangerous not only for drivers but also for surrounding citizens. This incident once again proves that any negligence or technical malfunction can lead to serious consequences.
