978 illegal medicines seized in Bukhara
A criminal case has been opened in Bukhara over counterfeit and undocumented medicines, according to the Internal Security Service press office.
In a joint operation with customs officers, the home and vehicle of a man born in 1985 in Bukhara district were searched. A total of 978 types of medicines were seized, all lacking proper documentation or proof of origin.

The drugs included Imudon, Cerebrolysin, Dopamine, Maalox, and 78 other types. The suspect admitted to cooperating with an accomplice born in 1962, residing in Bukhara city.

According to the Ministry of Health’s Pharmaceutical Safety Center, 32 items were not registered, 57 lacked compliance certificates, 6 were deemed poor quality, and 4 were counterfeit. The storage conditions also violated regulations.

A criminal case was initiated under Article 243, part 3 of the Criminal Code. The medicines had been distributed in Bukhara and the districts of Shofirkon, Peshku, and Romitan.
