Every time someone hopes the process of obtaining a driver’s license will be fair, another disappointing incident occurs.
It has been revealed that an inspector of the Patrol-Post Service under the Public Order Protection Directorate of the Tashkent City Main Department of Internal Affairs abused his official powers. Using his position, he deceived citizens’ trust and demanded a bribe.
According to details, the inspector presented himself as a trustworthy figure and promised to help an acquaintance born in 1995 and residing in Navoi region to pass the state exam and obtain a driver's license.
To expose this criminal scheme, the State Security Service and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor's Office conducted an operation in the Yunusabad district.
During this operation, the inspector was caught red-handed receiving $1500 and 1,900,000 Uzbek soums meant for the entrance exam.

Currently, a criminal case has been opened against him under Articles 168 (fraud) and 211 (bribery) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The court has ruled to detain him as a preventive measure.
Investigative actions are ongoing. The depth and complexity of this case will be clarified by official statements in the coming days.
The citizen who trusted the inspector was left disappointed. This case once again reminds the public to stay vigilant and public officials to uphold their duty and responsibility.
Such incidents in the system should serve as a serious lesson for the entire society. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
