
Reports have circulated on social media claiming that donkey meat was being sold at a popular kebab restaurant operating under the name “Namangan Shashlik” in the Shahrihan district. These claims sparked widespread public discussion.
In response, the Shahrihan District Department of Sanitary-Epidemiological Wellbeing and Public Health issued an official statement. It stated that, based on the alarming reports, inspections were carried out at the kebab restaurant operated under LLC “Rayimjon Orzu Baraka” (Namangan Shashlik).
The investigation revealed that the meat used in this establishment is supplied by the poultry farm of LLC “Zarbdor,” located in the city of Namangan, Namangan region. The slaughter process is carried out under veterinary supervision, an official slaughter report is prepared, and the meat is tested in a veterinary laboratory and stamped as fit for consumption. The meat is then delivered via special transport and stored in freezers in accordance with safety regulations.
Inspection results confirmed that the rumors of donkey meat being sold at “Namangan Shashlik” in Shahrihan were baseless and untrue.
