After the factory's activities in Andijan, the Southern Fergana Canal was polluted
On July 26 of this year, a serious environmental issue occurred in the Southern Fergana Canal in Andijan region. White foam appeared on the surface of the canal, and nitrites, nitrates, alkalis, and dyes were detected in the water, significantly worsening the environmental situation. It was found that this occurred as a result of the activities of a knitting factory in the Bulokboshi district.
According to information from the Bulokboshi district administration, foam appeared on the surface of the Southern Fergana Canal on the morning of July 26. To ensure safety, water samples were immediately taken by the Sanitary and Epidemiological Department of the district and sent for laboratory analysis. The analysis revealed that the physical and chemical composition of the water in the canal had changed.
Employees of "Uzgidromet" and the Ecological Committee conducted an operational inspection and detected changes in the water composition. It was eventually determined that the water contained high levels of nitrites and nitrates, alkalis, and dyes. The pollution was caused by water used by the knitting factory being directly discharged into the canal.
The factory violated environmental standards and requirements in its operations, leading to the contamination of the water. The Ecological Committee contacted the responsible parties and took measures to resolve the issue. Subsequently, specific actions were implemented that required changes to systems, and this incident further emphasized the need for environmental research.
Environmental inspections and changes are of great importance for further actions and management in Uzbekistan, and internal organizations must ensure their responsibility and safety in their regions. Specific measures should always be developed to achieve the correct environmental goals.
