In the Kashkadarya region, in Kukdala district, information about a fire and explosion at a gas filling station, which spread on social networks, caused serious public debate. On August 5, a serious emergency occurred at the gas filling station located in the Oltindala neighborhood.
According to official information, during the transfer of propane from the tank truck to the liquefied gas storage tank, a flash occurred, resulting in a fire. Five fire-rescue crews were promptly dispatched to the scene. The rescuers arrived at 22:22, localized the fire at 22:30, and managed to completely extinguish it by 22:50.
As a result of the fire, one tank truck was completely burned, and a 10-cubic-meter propane liquefied gas storage tank was also damaged. It is reported that the driver of the tank truck received minor burn injuries. Regional and district emergency management leaders also arrived at the scene to take control of the situation.
It is noteworthy that on July 16, another fire and explosion occurred at a different gas filling station serving the population in the Kukdala district, where four people were reported dead.
Recent events demand even greater attention to the safety and control of fuel infrastructure in the Kukdala district. Experts once again emphasize the need for caution and adherence to safety rules. The authorities and special services are conducting a full investigation of the situation and providing assistance to all affected.
