The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan has decided to hold a nationwide charity clean-up on August 22-23, 2025, across the country under the slogan "A Prosperous and Blessed Neighborhood – The Beauty of Our Homeland." The aim of this event is to carry out beautification work in cities and villages across Uzbekistan, improve the living conditions of the population, and especially provide assistance to citizens in need of social protection.
Several important actions are planned within the framework of the clean-up. For this, a working group has been formed and the order of activities has been determined. According to this:
Beautification work will be carried out around neighborhoods, settlements, multi-story residential buildings, courtyards, passages, avenues, sacred places, cemeteries, streets, and walkways. These activities will include tree whitewashing, landscaping, and creating a pleasant environment.
Assistance will be provided in improving the living conditions of vulnerable groups, especially the elderly, disabled, and those without caretakers, with the aim of enhancing their quality of life.
Participants in the event will be provided with the necessary equipment and tools, and the work on beautification and waste removal will be conducted in accordance with the law.
Attention will also be given to ensuring safety in areas that may pose risks to the lives and health of people, such as construction sites, roads, and other places that could cause hazards.
Additionally, in accordance with the Cabinet of Ministers' decision of May 10, 2018, No. 349, it is strictly prohibited to forcefully engage the population in other types of public works, including construction and agricultural tasks, during the charity clean-up. Participation should be voluntary for each citizen.
This charity clean-up contributes to strengthening unity among people, providing assistance to those in need, and ensuring the beautification of our cities.
