In the city of Tashkent, a bull that escaped from a slaughterhouse and attacked people was shot dead. This was reported by the capital’s Main Department of Internal Affairs. It is stated that since the incident concerned public safety, the police promptly attempted to prevent possible consequences.
It is reported that at around 2:00 a.m., the Department of Internal Affairs of the Chilanzar district received a report that cattle which had escaped from a slaughterhouse was attacking people. Based on this, law enforcement officers arrived at the scene. Rapid-response groups took practical measures to bring the situation under control, move citizens to a safe area, and restrict the direction of movement.
According to the employee, since the bull ran toward citizens, he was forced to block the road with a service vehicle. However, the cattle also gored the inspector, and he was hospitalized with a bodily injury. It was noted that the injured employee was provided with the necessary medical assistance, and his condition is under control.
The responsible bodies call on the population not to rush, to follow the instructions of law enforcement agencies in such cases, and not to approach animals that may pose a danger. It is expected that control over compliance with technical and organizational safety requirements at city slaughterhouses and related facilities will be further strengthened.
