In Fergana region, a murder has shocked the entire public. According to the press service of the Supreme Court, a family quarrel over inheritance turned into a tragic incident.
It was reported that a man, fearing to be left without inheritance, quarreled with his brother and stepmother. During the heated argument, he attacked his underage brother with a knife. The incident occurred when the teenager was preparing to go to school.
The accused dragged the teenager into an outbuilding in the yard and inflicted several knife wounds to his head, neck, chest, and face. As a result of severe injuries, the victim died at the scene.
The tragedy did not end there. During the conflict, he also attacked his father with a knife and inflicted a wound to his face.
The Criminal Court of Furqat district found the man guilty and sentenced him to 15 years and 6 months of imprisonment.
Experts emphasize that resorting to violence instead of resolving family disputes legally can lead to major losses not only for one family but also for society as a whole.
