In the Namangan region, in the Kamchik district, two tragic road traffic accidents occurred in one day. As a result of these incidents, three people lost their lives, and the local community was left in a state of severe shock.
The first incident occurred today at approximately 04:40. On the A-373 highway in the Vodi—Tashkent direction, the driver of a Lacetti car failed to ensure road safety and attempted to collide with a truck moving in the same lane. As a result, he collided with a passenger in the Lacetti, causing a serious traffic accident.
After the incident, the Lacetti passenger died from severe bodily injuries. The second passenger was hospitalized and is receiving treatment. According to video recordings and witness statements, the driver violated road safety rules and continued driving without stopping.
The second major traffic accident occurred at approximately 08:39. The driver of a Cobalt also failed to ensure road safety, lost control, and collided with the rear parts of trucks moving on the right side of the road. As a result, two passengers in the Cobalt died from severe bodily injuries.
For both tragic cases, the investigative department of the Pop district police initiated a criminal case under part 2 of article 266 of the Criminal Code. Investigative work continues, and law enforcement authorities again urge families and local residents to exercise caution and strictly follow traffic rules.
These two accidents caused strong shock among the population and once again demonstrated how important road safety is. From the incidents, it follows that failure to comply with traffic rules can lead not only to personal but also to social tragedies.
