Drug traffickers detained in Tashkent and Kashkadarya regions

The State Security Service (SSS) reported on operational measures to combat drug trafficking.

It is noted that an active member of a criminal group engaged in the sale of synthetic drugs through the Internet was detained. A 23-year-old resident of the Kibray district of the Tashkent region, on instructions from drug group organizers, went to the Tashkent district and was caught red-handed while receiving 4 kg 300 g of "alpha-PVP" hidden in a field. He is a third-year student at a private higher education institution in Tashkent.

A criminal case was initiated under part 5 of Article 25, 273 of the Criminal Code, and a preventive measure of detention was applied.

At the same time, within the framework of the "Safe and Healthy Country" preventive measures being carried out at the republican level, a 24-year-old citizen living in the Nishan district of Kashkadarya region was found to be engaged in the cultivation of a large quantity of narcotic drugs on a 20-hectare plot of land belonging to a cotton-growing farm named after his brother. During the operational event, 247 cannabis plants and 27 kg 708 grams of marijuana were seized as material evidence.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against him under Article 273, Part 5 of the Criminal Code, and a preventive measure of detention has been applied.

During an operation conducted in the Urtachirchik district of the Tashkent region, a Lacetti driven by a 55-year-old former law enforcement officer, a resident of the Kokdala district of the Kashkadarya region, was stopped and inspected in the presence of witnesses. Then, the operation continued, and their accomplices, 2 citizens living in the Bekabad district, were detained, from whom 437 grams of hashish were also seized.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against these individuals under Article 273, Part 5 of the Criminal Code, and a preventive measure of detention has been applied.

In a joint operation conducted by law enforcement agencies in the city of Akhangaran, Tashkent region, a previously convicted person residing in the "Yangiobod" mahalla and a resident of the "Birlik" mahalla were detained, and 976 grams of marijuana were found with them.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against these individuals, and a preventive measure of detention has been applied.
