According to reports circulating on social networks, there has been widespread public discussion regarding the alleged harassment and violence against a woman and her newborn child in the Uzun district of Surkhandarya region. The situation was investigated by the Department of Internal Affairs of Surkhandarya region.
It became known that on August 26 of this year, a report was received that an unknown woman was forcibly detained in a barn by the owners of the house in an unsanitary condition in one of the mahallas of the Uzun district. Based on this report, the neighborhood prevention inspector immediately arrived at the scene and, despite the resistance of the homeowners, broke into the barn door. Thus, it was established that the owner of the apartment, Sh.A., born in 1981, his unofficial spouse, Kh.G., born in 1997, and his 5-month-old son were being forcibly kept in difficult conditions, and the victims were sent to an emergency medical institution.
During the analysis of the situation, it became known that the owner of the apartment, Sh.A., having conspired in advance with his mother and close relatives living in this apartment, used the changes in the mental state of his unofficial spouse, Kh.G., and for several months subjected him to harassment and violence. It was also established that their difficult situation was associated with concealed keeping in the barn. H.G. had language defects and difficulties in fully expressing thoughts.
Currently, the victim, Kh.G., is in the surgical department of the Uzun District Medical Association, and her child is in the maternity ward. Their health status has been taken under special control by officials of the regional social protection department.
In connection with the situation, the Investigative Group under the Uzun District Department of Internal Affairs initiated a criminal case under clauses "a" and "e" of part 7 of Article 126 prim 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The suspect Sh.A. was detained in accordance with procedural order, as well as family members involved in the case were involved in the investigation, and a "Search" was declared for one of them.
Currently, all relevant forensic and medical examinations have been appointed, and investigative and procedural actions are being carried out on an ongoing basis. The public strongly reacts to this situation, and the truth is expected to be revealed soon during the investigation.
