The tragic road accident that occurred in Tashkent region has deeply shaken the public. According to Millar, in the Yangiyul district, the driver of a Spark car, violating traffic rules, hit a 21-year-old young man who was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing.
According to the information, the incident happened in August 2025. The driver lost control and did not follow road signs and safety requirements. As a result, the pedestrian received severe bodily injuries and died at the scene.
After the tragedy, law enforcement authorities launched an investigation. It was reported that a criminal case was opened under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan — “Violation of traffic safety rules or the operation of vehicles.”
Currently, investigative actions are being carried out. According to officials, the circumstances of the incident and the driver’s actions are being thoroughly examined.
Experts emphasize that such incidents once again remind of the need to follow the rules at pedestrian crossings and for drivers to increase caution. The public, in turn, demands strengthening legislation and discipline measures so that such tragedies on the roads do not happen again.
