In the city of Karshi, Kashkadarya region, the activities of a clandestine workshop for the illegal production of alcoholic beverages were stopped.
During an operation conducted by employees of the Kashkadarya regional department of the Department under the Prosecutor General's Office and internal affairs bodies, it was established that Sh.Kh., a resident of the "Bunyodkor" mahalla, was engaged in the illegal production of alcoholic beverages and the production of counterfeit excise stamps in his apartment.
During the inspection, 140 liters of ethyl alcohol, 1,500 excise stamps, 20,500 alcohol labels, thousands of empty glass containers, 2,500 plastic lids, a date stamp, and various other equipment and materials used in production were seized as material evidence.
Taking into account that citizen Sh.Kh. may be producing alcoholic products for the purpose of illegal sale in the region, a criminal case was initiated on the basis of Article 176 of the Criminal Code. Preliminary investigative actions are currently underway.
