Restrictions on the sale of alcohol may be imposed. In Kazakhstan!

The issue of restricting alcohol consumption and strengthening control over the sale of alcoholic beverages in Kazakhstan has been put on the agenda. Deputy of the Majilis Magerram Magerramov noted that alcohol remains one of the main factors of crime, which leads to the loss of human potential.
According to Tengrinews.kz, citing data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the deputy stated that the majority of serious crimes are committed while intoxicated: every second murder, every third rape and hooliganism, and every fourth robbery occur under the influence of alcohol. It was noted that more than half of the accidents and cases of domestic violence are also related to intoxication.
The deputy noted that reports of such cases involving minors are also frequent, and the large number of retail outlets makes it difficult to control. For this reason, the faction of the People's Party of Kazakhstan proposes to restore the previous norms: a ban on the sale of alcohol at a distance of 100 meters from kindergartens and educational institutions, as well as a restriction on the number of points selling alcoholic beverages.
In addition, it was proposed to mandatory digital labeling of alcoholic products, the sale of alcoholic beverages only in specially designated places, the cessation of sales in retail stores after 20:00, in cafes and restaurants after 22:00, and a complete ban on online alcohol sales.
It is noted that 429 villages in Kazakhstan have completely abandoned alcohol. 33 villages in Aktobe region and 18 in Kyzylorda region chose a sober lifestyle. The sale of alcohol is prohibited in 53 villages of the Atyrau region, and not a single violation has been recorded in these areas in the last two years. It is planned to extend this experience to other regions.
