On September 9, the criminal court of Tashkent’s Mirzo Ulug‘bek district reviewed an administrative case involving 19-year-old B.T., who sexually harassed a woman in the hallway of a residential building, Nemolchi.uz reported.
According to reports, on September 8, a woman was returning home when the young man followed her into the entryway. He asked for her phone number, and when she refused, he touched her inappropriately. The woman screamed, and he ran away.
Soon after, he was caught and brought to court, where he admitted guilt. The court sentenced him to 5 days of administrative detention under Article 41-1 of the Administrative Code for sexual misconduct.
It was revealed that the offender had previously been held accountable for other administrative violations. Authorities warn that such actions pose a threat to public safety and urge citizens to remain vigilant.
