In the city of Fergana, an unfortunate incident caused widespread discussion among passengers and drivers. According to the regional Traffic Safety Department, on September 18 at around 12:00, a driver entered a specialized station to refuel his “Labo” vehicle. However, due to carelessness, he filled methane into a cylinder designed for propane.
As a result of this mistake, the gas cylinder installed in the vehicle suddenly exploded, causing serious technical damage to the car. Fortunately, no citizens were injured at the time of the incident.
Currently, relevant authorities are conducting additional investigations into the case. Specialists note that such incidents often occur because drivers lack sufficient knowledge about different types of gas and neglect safety regulations.
It should be reminded that earlier, in Surkhandarya region, a “Nexia-2” vehicle exploded at a methane filling station.
Experts urge drivers to clearly distinguish between gas types, regularly check the technical condition of their vehicle equipment, and strictly follow safety measures during refueling. A single careless mistake can pose a serious threat not only to property but also to human life.
