In one of the mahalla citizens' assemblies in the Sariosiyo district of Surkhandarya region, an assistant khokim, using his official position, gained the trust of a citizen and demanded 29 million soums through his official acquaintances in exchange for leasing 2.5 hectares of irrigated land in the reserve of the district khokimiyat for a period of 30 years.
During a joint operation conducted by the State Security Service, the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, and the Internal Affairs Department, the assistant governor was apprehended with material evidence while receiving the requested sum.
During the pre-investigation check, it became known that he was supposed to give this money to the engineer of the "Survilerloyiha" department of the "Uzdaverloyiha" Scientific Design Institute and the head of the department of agriculture of the Sariosiyo district.
Then the operation was continued, and when the engineer and the head of the department received these funds, their illegal actions were stopped.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against these individuals under Articles 168 and 211 of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are being carried out.
