A major offense has been uncovered in the Surkhandarya region. According to internal affairs bodies, a criminal group in the city of Termez was engaged in the forgery and distribution of driver's licenses with a legal appearance.
According to the investigation, an employee of the Public Services Center, together with his accomplices, illegally prepared documents for persons who did not pass the exam or did not receive a driver's license at all. False information was entered into the electronic database of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate, and the certificates were issued as real documents.
As a result, a total of 18 citizens illegally obtained driving licenses. According to the court's decision, one of the organizers of the criminal scheme was sentenced to 4 years, and the other to 3 years and 3 months of imprisonment. All forged certificates have lost their validity and have been removed from the electronic system.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized that investigations and inquiries are currently underway in other regions of the country regarding similar cases
