The road accident in the Samarkand region caused strong public outrage. A video circulating on social media shows the driver of a Lacetti (Gentra) hitting a pedestrian and fleeing the scene. This situation caused heated discussions among the people.
According to reports, the incident occurred on September 24 at approximately 7:00 PM on Panjikent Street in the Samarkand district. The pedestrian, born in 2010, was hit by the driver of the car while moving in the opposite direction and fled the scene without providing any assistance.
The child's mother, through a video appeal, asked the authorities for help in finding the offender and taking legal action against him.
According to the official statement of the regional Department of Internal Affairs Traffic Safety Department, as a result of the investigation and search, this vehicle was found in a car repair shop. Currently, documents are being processed to take legal action against the driver.
Most importantly, according to doctors, the victim's life was saved. He is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital.
