Poisoned children recover in Tashkent region, kindergartens reopen

In the Tashkent region, a case of food poisoning caused public concern for several days. The situation was particularly alarming as it occurred in preschool educational institutions. However, it has now been officially reported that all children have fully recovered and returned to their families.

According to the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, doctors promptly took the necessary measures and completely cured the children. Inspections conducted by state authorities confirmed the absence of any factors that could endanger their lives.

The situation was promptly taken under control by the Ministry of Health and the Sanitary-Epidemiological Safety Committee. Together with the ministry, all necessary measures were implemented, and the public was regularly informed. As a result, starting from October 2, all preschools will resume operating in their normal mode.

It should be noted that currently, catering services in some kindergartens are organized by private companies on an outsourcing basis. These contracts clearly require strict compliance with sanitary rules. However, the incident revealed shortcomings in this regard.

The ministry, fully aware of its high responsibility, announced that control mechanisms will be further strengthened. In cases of violations of the law or sanitary regulations, contracts will be reviewed or completely terminated.

Officials emphasized that children’s health is the highest value, and therefore, cost-cutting on food quality or negligence in observing sanitary rules will never be tolerated.

To ensure public oversight, a special commission consisting of parents, experts, and journalists will be created, and its conclusions will be regularly published.

In the future, in order to prevent such incidents from recurring, systematic measures will be taken jointly with the prosecutor’s office, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the Ministry of Health.

Thus, the problems that arose after the food poisoning have been resolved. Most importantly, the children’s health has been fully restored, and preschools are continuing their regular activities.
