At the event, held jointly by the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, the Department of Ecology of the city of Tashkent, and the Main Department of Internal Affairs, 26,900 vehicles regularly used at traffic police posts, on the streets, and at entrances and exits to motor transport enterprises were inspected from September 10 to the present day.
For information, the month "Clean Air" is regularly held at the republican level in order to ensure the implementation of the laws "On Protection of Atmospheric Air" and "On Environmental Control," as well as to conduct state environmental control over the environmental condition of vehicles in use.
During the inspection, it was established that 367 vehicles in the city of Tashkent are emitting harmful emissions into the atmosphere. According to the Code of Administrative Responsibility, appropriate measures are being taken against drivers of motor vehicles who grossly violate the established norms of state standards for pollutants in exhaust gases.
The second stage of the "Clean Air" month in the capital will last until October 10.
