In the Nurobod district of Samarkand, low-quality and spoiled food was served to children in one of the preschool educational institutions, and sanitary requirements for food preparation and storage were not followed. The complaint also mentioned that more than 50 children at this preschool suffered from the same illness.
In response to this incident, the Samarkand Regional Department of Preschool and School Education issued a statement, and a working group was formed with specialists from the Regional Sanitary and Epidemiological Health Department. During the inspection, it was found that the cooks working at the preschool had not followed food preparation technologies, and due to their negligence, sweet buns prepared for dinner were burnt. As a result, the management of the outsourcing company "Proof food" was warned.
The inspection found no evidence of the supply of low-quality meat products by the outsourcing company. Additionally, according to the Nurobod District Medical Association and the District Sanitary and Epidemiological Committee, no reports of food poisoning among preschool-aged children have been received from September 30 to the present. The report of more than 50 children suffering from the same illness was also rejected.
This incident did not pose a serious public health risk and was resolved with the aim of meeting family and social needs. This event also contributed to increased attention to children's nutrition.
