On October 6, an unexpected incident occurred at the Gafur Gulyam station of the Tashkent metro - a female passenger suddenly went into labor and gave birth to a baby. This was reported by the press service of the State Unitary Enterprise "Tashkent Metro."
According to the information, Naima Makhamadjanova, the duty officer for the reception and departure of trains, was informed about the passenger's condition by the internal affairs officer during her service. Without hesitation, relying on her special training, she began to provide the necessary assistance during childbirth.
In addition to her duties, Naima Makhamadjanova, using her medical skills, directly helped the woman give birth to a healthy child. She activated the baby's breathing, ligated the umbilical cord, and took necessary measures for the health of the mother and child.
During this time, an ambulance service and the woman's relatives were called. For about 10 minutes, before the arrival of medical personnel, the metro staff kept the mother and baby under observation and ensured their safety.
When the doctors arrived, the mother and baby were taken to the hospital. It has been reported that both are currently in good health.
Many citizens consider this event a true act of heroism. Because Naima Makhamadjanova quickly understood the situation and, thanks to her prepared and courageous actions, managed to save the lives of the mother and child.
