Illegal gold miners arrested in Bukhara and Navoi

Individuals involved in illegal gold mining were detained in Bukhara and Navoi regions. As a result of their activities, damage to the interests of the state and society amounted to more than 20 billion soums.

According to information, during special operations conducted by the State Security Service and internal affairs agencies, inspections were carried out in the areas belonging to "Oltin Kon" LLC, located in the "Kuljuktov" mountain massif of the Shafirkan district of the Bukhara region and "Tovshan" mountain massif of the Kanimekh district of the Navoi region.

During the inspections, cases of illegal gold mining by unauthorized persons were revealed. Relevant materials on the incident have been sent to the State Security Service, and prompt measures have been taken.

As a result of joint practical actions, 37 people were detained while engaged in illegal activities during a raid conducted in the "Kuljuktau" area. They were engaged in excavation, ore collection, and processing using special equipment.

During the event, 3 Ford cars, 8 perforators, 6 compressors, and more than 400 bags of ore containing gold and various homemade tools were seized as material evidence.

According to experts, this illegal activity caused significant economic damage to the interests of the state and society - according to calculations, the amount of damage exceeded 20 billion soums.

Currently, a pre-investigation check is being conducted on this fact. Responsible agencies stated that the fight against illegal mining is under strict control and that strict measures will be taken against such cases.

This event once again reminds us of the importance of preserving natural resources and their legal use.
