Large-scale sanitary inspections conducted in preschools across Syrdarya region have revealed serious problems. According to the Committee on Sanitary and Epidemiological Wellbeing and Public Health under the Ministry of Health, violations of sanitary standards were found in 398 private kindergartens in the region.
During the inspection, it was determined that in more than 60 kindergartens, the sanitary condition of kitchens and toilets did not meet requirements and needed repair. Some facilities experienced interruptions in the supply of drinking water, and handwashing areas were insufficiently equipped.
It was also found that some employees had not undergone medical examinations, and bedding and sheets were in poor condition and did not meet hygiene standards. Experts emphasize that such situations may pose a serious threat to children’s health.
As a result of the identified violations, the operations of several kindergartens were temporarily suspended. In addition, 329 responsible individuals were fined a total of 333 million 480 thousand soums.
The Committee reported that special working groups were formed to eliminate the deficiencies and ensure safe conditions for children. These groups are tasked with addressing each institution’s shortcomings and maintaining constant monitoring of sanitary compliance.
Officials stated: “The health of every child in kindergartens is the foundation of a healthy society. Therefore, compliance with sanitary norms is mandatory and crucial for all institutions.”
Thus, the inspection in Syrdarya not only exposed existing issues but also highlighted the need to strengthen hygiene safety in children’s institutions across other regions.
