Today, October 18, at around 07:10 in the morning, a traffic accident occurred on the A-373 “Tashkent–Osh” highway, on the section passing through the Kamchik Pass. The driver of a Volkswagen vehicle traveling in the “Valley–Tashkent” direction lost control and drove into a roadside ditch.
The report about the incident was delivered to the “Kamchik” special search-and-rescue fire department. A team of rescuers quickly arrived at the scene and, with the help of special equipment and tools, pulled the driver and the car out of the ditch.
It is noted that there were no injuries as a result of the incident. According to rescuers, the driver was in a state of shock and received first aid on site.
Relevant services are currently investigating the causes of the accident. Preliminary information suggests that recent fog and humidity on Kamchik Pass may have reduced visibility.
Experts advise drivers to avoid speeding, maintain a safe distance, and pay attention to weather conditions when traveling through the pass.
Thanks to the prompt response of the rescuers, tragedy was averted — the Volkswagen driver and his vehicle survived unharmed.
