In the city of Chirchik, Tashkent region, a 33-year-old man, previously convicted several times, was sentenced to 12 years in prison for another serious crime. It is reported that he was found by the court to be an "extremely dangerous recidivist."
It turned out that this person approached the driver of the Lacetti, who stopped on the side of the road due to a malfunction, under the pretext of helping him. However, taking advantage of the situation, he cunningly stole the car and appropriated the money and valuables from it. The car was later found near the school.
According to the investigation, the man, born in 1992, was previously convicted 6 times and was serving his last sentence in a penal colony. He was temporarily transferred to another place on assignment from the administration of this colony. There, they met another convicted woman, and over time, they established a relationship with her and together made an escape plan.
After being left on the street for a short time and unable to find a rental house, the fugitives returned to theft. After their arrest, the case was considered in the Chirchik City Criminal Court.
According to the court's conclusion, the accused was found guilty of committing crimes under clause "a" of part three of Article 169 (theft) and clauses "a," "g" of part two of Article 267 (theft of a vehicle) of the Criminal Code.
Based on Articles 59 and 60 of the Criminal Code, his previous sentences were partially added, and he was sentenced to 12 years of imprisonment in the general regime. The court also assessed his actions as very dangerous and ordered him to serve his sentence in a special regime colony.
It should be noted that, according to the law, the next serious crime of a person repeatedly convicted of a serious or especially serious crime is assessed as an "extremely dangerous recidivist" and the punishment is determined in a more severe manner.
This situation once again indicates the need to strengthen the system of supervision and rehabilitation of convicts.
